Important Letter Coming to Your Mailbox (yes, the paper kind)

Hey there, Friday members. Hope you’re having a great week so far.

We wanted to give you a heads up that in the next week you should be receiving a very formal looking letter from Friday Health Plans about changes to your 2021 plan. This is a letter the Division of Insurance makes us send each year, but unfortunately we’re not allowed to write it in our own words, so the message can get a bit confusing with the insurance lingo and legalese.

Here’s what it means:

For most Friday members, this letter simply means you can sit back and auto-renew your health plan for January of 2021. There’s a table that shows you any benefit changes from your plan in 2020 to 2021. All you have to do is continue paying your monthly premium to keep your plan going. It’s that easy.

One of the exceptions in which you may have to enroll in a new health plan is if you or your family has experienced significant changes to income, household size, or anything that might impact your eligibility for tax credits or Cost Share Reductions. If you believe you might be in this category, please reach out to Connect for Health Colorado or our Colorado-based customer service team. We’re happy to help.

In the next few weeks, you will be receiving another letter with your new monthly premium rate for your 2020 health plan–either from us or Connect for Health. Rates should be approved and made public by the Division of Insurance soon. If you want to make any changes, get in touch with Friday, Connect for Health, or your broker starting November 1st. If you’re good with your plan auto-renewing, you’re all set. We’ll get you a new set of ID cards towards the end of the year and you’re off to a healthy 2021.

If you have any questions about 2021 health plans, please let us know. We look forward to having you as part of the Friday family next year.
